Company that feels personal

More connection, on your terms

Living independently should not mean feeling alone. Whether you would like a regular chat at home, encouragement to return to a favourite hobby or someone beside you on an outing, we take time to understand your interests, personality and routines. Our aim is familiar, meaningful support from carers you feel comfortable with.

A friendly face and a listening ear

Time for a cup of tea, conversation, a crossword or simply sharing your day. Regular company can help ease loneliness and bring reassurance to everyday life.

Hobbies and interests

Enjoy the things that make you feel like yourself — music, reading, gardening, crafts or games. We take time to learn what you enjoy and support you to keep doing it.

Outings and appointments

Company for shopping, walks, visits to friends or appointments. We can help you stay connected to local groups and activities, with support suited to your mobility and preferences.

Companionship & domestic support

Practical help with light cleaning, laundry, meal preparation and everyday household tasks, alongside friendly company that makes home feel comfortable and welcoming.

Encouragement through life changes

A steady, familiar presence when you are living alone, recovering from illness, recently bereaved or adjusting to a change in routine. Support is shaped around how you feel and what matters to you.

Reassurance for families

A trusted person spending time with your loved one can give family carers a chance to rest or attend to other commitments. With your agreement, we keep family involved in your support plan.

What is companionship care?

Companionship care brings regular social contact and practical support into your everyday life. It may include conversation, shared hobbies, help at home or company when going out, all agreed with you in a personalised plan.

Do I need personal care to arrange companionship?

No. You can ask for companionship on its own. If you also need personal care, medication support or other help, we can discuss how these services fit together at your assessment.

Who can benefit from companionship?

Adults who would welcome more company or help with daily life may benefit, including older people living alone and people recovering from illness or facing changes in their circumstances. We assess each person's needs individually.

Can visits fit around my routine?

We discuss the timing, frequency and activities you would like at your free assessment. Your plan reflects your interests and preferences and can be reviewed as your needs change.

How much does companionship cost?

Companionship and domestic support starts from £23 per hour. Your final rate depends on how often you would like visits, and we confirm it in writing after your free, no-obligation assessment.

Can companionship be part of live-in care?

Yes. Our live-in care includes companionship alongside support with daily life. We will discuss whether visiting companionship or live-in care is the right fit for your needs.
